Your first assignment of the year will allow you to get to know everyone in the class a bit more, and more importantly, let everyone learn some cool things about YOU! How you do that and what you chose to put in your presentation is totally up to you. The goal of your presentation is to let the rest of the class learn some new things about you. Take a look at an example of an All About Me assignment from last year to see a good example of a completed project. Now take a look at another All About Me assignment that wasn't as well done. What's the difference between the two presentations? Why is the first one more effective? Make sure you really think about these questions since we will be using your answers in our co-generated rubric.
Once you have it figured out what makes an effective "Me to We" presentation, it's now time to do some planning on your presentation. Some questions to ask are:
- What information do I want share about myself with my fellow classmates?
- my entire life story
- my summer
- my family
- my hobbies
- my dreams/future ambitions
- Be sure to use graphic organizers to help organize your thoughts
Once all this is complete and looked over by Mr. Catton or Mrs. Nelson, it is know time to start designing you project on the cool web 2.0 called OneTrueMedia. Using this online tool will take a little practice, but it is a very effective presentation tool
