  1. 1. Daniel began to be involved with the resistance within Auschwitz when a boy in his group, whose name is Adam offered for Daniel to take images of the gas chambers, and/or the fire pits of which they burned the bodies. His father encouraged him, citing the reason as "We are all just waiting to be sent to the gas chambers," and that they will kill the Jews one way or another. With that, he hopes that Daniel will help the Jews record evidence.

    2. The worst thing that Daniel saw in Auschwitz was when he saw the crematoria in the camp. He realized when he saw it, they were not just mere bodies, but rather, innocent human beings, that were killed, just because they were thought to be "inferior." Since he was not pleased, Daniel was close to throwing himself in with the murdered humans, before his own father stopped him.

    3. The reason why they continued to kill the Jews after 1944, when defeat was inevitable, was because of two reasons. The first reason was because the Jews were thought to be inferior than the Aryans, but a key second reason now existed, to ensure nobody would be alive to tell the truth, so that the Holocaust could easily be denied, since they destroyed all of the evidence that they did these horrendous crimes, crimes against humanity. Hence, they kept on killing the Jews.

  3. 1. Daniel became involved with the resistance by taking photographs of how they where killing jews. After they would try to get the pictures to canada.

    2. The thing he described being the worst he saw in Auszhwits was seeing the ashes from bodys floating down like snow. The ashes that were floating down were from the cremetory. That is where they would burn bodies.

    3. Even though defeat was obvious they kept killing jews to try to take away all evidence of them killing any jews. That way they couldnt be charged for anything

  4. 1) He became involved in the resistance by taking pictures and collecting evidence of everything that was happening and how the Jews were being treated at the camps, this happened when a boy asked him to take them.

    2) Daniel was so upset when he saw the worst thing he could of seen in Auschwitz which ending up seeing a pile of cremated bodies, it upset him because those are people that share the same traditions and they had no reason to be treated like that.

    3) They kept killing the Jews because they went through all of this to try and defeat all of the living Jews, so they were going to keep trying to kil as many as they could with the time left.

  5. 1. Daniel took pictures and showed to peolpe in Aushwitz and they brought him in to a meeting.
    2. Daniel thought the worst thing in Aushwitz was the snow like ash that was falling from the smoke that comes out of the chimneys everyday.
    3. They continued to kill Jews because they new the war was going to be over and the alied forces were going to come and invade. Germany started to kill jews faster hoping that before the alied forces come, they could wipe out the whole Jewish race.

  6. Daniel became involved with the resistance group in Auschwitz because some guy asked him to take pictures of the gas chambers of how all the Jews were geting killed.

The worst thing Daniel described as being the worst he saw in Auschwitz was the pile of dead bodies and the crematedated ashes.

They still killed the Jewish people after 1944 was because they couldn't have no evedince of them killing the jews.

  9. 1) Daniel became part of the resistance when he saw a boy he knew from Lodz, Adam. Adam had told Daniel that he is apart of The Resistance, and that he should to. Daniel had told his father and he said he should because they will kill us one way or another. Daniel had told Adam he said he would. Adam had told Daniel that he would have to take pictures of what is happening here- Auschwitz.
2)The worst thing Daniel had described to be was the bodies burning. At that momment he had thought that they were not just bodies but human beings dieing. People burning that he could have known. He had almost thrown him self in there, he had thought it was the closest he had been to ending his life.
    3) The germas had continued killing the jews because they would have no evidence that they were killing the jews. But the Resistance had 'known' what they're plan was. They had it all thought out.

  10. 1. Adam a boy that Daniel knew from Frankfurt joined his group in the factory and Adam asked him to take pictures of the gas chambers. He told Adam he would think about it. When he told his dad he told Daniel to do it because it could help save them faster. The next day he told Adam he would do it so Adam told him the plan.
2.The worst thing he saw was when he was putting the alcohol into the fire and seen the burning bodies. It was the worst thing he saw because he knew some of the bodies could of been people he knew. Even if he didn't know them it was horrible to see because they were people just like him and his family.
3.They kept killing the Jews because they didn't want to have any evidence of what they did. They also wanted to kill as many Jews as they could before they lost the war.

  11. 1.Daniel became involved with the resistance because they heard that he was good at photography.

2.The worst part Daniel saw in Aushwitz was one of the guards that he had just taken pictures of was tormenting a little Jewish boy, by shooting him in the legs and telling him to try and get up. When the little boy couldn`t the guard shot him in the head.

    3. They continued killing the Jews to get rid of all evidence.

  12. 1)Daniel became involved with the resistance at auschwhitz because a boy he knew from lodz poland (ghetto)knew that he was a photographer. The boys name was Adam. Adam asked Daniel if he would take photographs of somethings about the camp like the mass graves going up in flames and gas chambers. they wanted daniel to record this because they wanted people from outside of the camp to know of what was truley happening. the photographs were able to capture the things that were happening and inform others outside of the camp.

2)Daniel described the worst thing he saw was the mass graves. He described the piles of lifeless, innocent people who he could have once knew. From a neighbour to a close friend, he didnt know who could be in the grave. he described the stench that lingered in the air and everything that was horrendous about the situation. the fact that he saw bodies being burned (some still breathing) is not something that anybody should witness. daniel was very close to diving into the grave, but his father stopped him, even though they both knew what was going threw eachothers minds. those images that so many jews witnessed will be with them forever.

3)The reason why they kept killing the Jews when defeat was inevitable, was because they didnt want anyone to survive to tell the truth. If the truth didnt get out their concequences would be less severe than if the truth did get out. Many german soldiers were hanged for their crimes against humanity after ww2. They tryed to kikll as many jews as quickly and as efficiently as possible, but is their plan did not suceed.
