It's hard to imagine, but it's already time to start thinking the grade 8 farewell (Monday, June 27th), particularly the after-farewell party. Due to liability and insurance concerns, staff and teachers are not allowed to take part in the planning of the after-farewell party. It is left up to the parents to make a committee to plan the after-farewell party. The farewell itself is planned and paid for (through fundraising) totally by the students and the grade seven class takes care of the farewell tea. If you are interested in being part of this committee, email me at cattonc@spsd.sk.ca and I can fill you in on the details and what other classes have done in the past few years. It is important to get this committee going fairly soon since venues fill up quickly.
